The Natural Timbre of the Bassoon is to Blend seamlessly. Those Tone Colors are what led me to Choose the Bassoon.
So much of my life is spent in the car traveling to gigs and studying recordings along the journey. I’ve always noticed when I listen to recordings and the solo bassoon moment arrives I have to turn the volume ALL THE WAY UP and then when the Orchestra returns I have to turn the volume BACK DOWN. There’s that Seamless Blending.. 🙂
