A true populist at heart Eryn Oft believes in creating global musical communities that foster conversation about sound production diversity, recognition of varying tone colors and timbres, cultural folk music, and unique rhythmic patterns from around the world. Her recent album Eryn Oft: Out of the Box exemplifies her love for people from all backgrounds and the music they create. 

Currently Eryn is cultivating a technologically savvy double reed community through Worldwide Skype Lessons and Masterclasses, her highly successful Youtube Channel, and Guest Clinician work.

As a performer, Eryn has developed an international reputation performing with orchestras and chamber music ensembles throughout Europe, Mexico, the US and Canada.

Since 2007 Eryn has served as faculty at Jacksonville State University located in Jacksonville, Alabama. At JSU she teaches courses in Music History, Ethnomusicology and maintains a studio of 8 double reed students. Prior to her work at JSU she served as Assistant Professor at Snow College in Utah. Eryn is a graduate of Indiana University Jacobs School of Music (BM and MM with a concentration in early music). Her bassoon teachers have included Kim Walker, Mark Eubanks and Stephane Levesque.
